Registered Nurse Mental Health

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and mental health support for people in detention, managing complex presentations and risk
• Develop mental health recovery plans, manage medications, and coordinate referrals and discharge planning
• Conduct timely mental health assessments, including formulation, risk assessment, and crisis intervention
• Document progress, outcome measures, and discharge summaries within electronic medical record systems
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and key stakeholders to ensure coordinated mental health care

Requirements

• Current AHPRA registration
• Post-graduate qualification in Mental Health Nursing
• Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in Mental Health
• Strong commitment to person-centred care
