About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical and mental health support for people in detention, managing complex presentations and risk
- Develop mental health recovery plans, manage medications, and coordinate referrals and discharge planning
- Conduct timely mental health assessments, including formulation, risk assessment, and crisis intervention
- Document progress, outcome measures, and discharge summaries within electronic medical record systems
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and key stakeholders to ensure coordinated mental health care
Requirements
- Current AHPRA registration
- Post-graduate qualification in Mental Health Nursing
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in Mental Health
- Strong commitment to person-centred care
