Registered Nurse - Mental Health

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, recovery-oriented mental health care to patients and support for families and carers
• Perform patient assessments and manage clinical issues related to patient conditions and treatment plans
• Liaise with referring specialists and clinicians involved in patient care
• Contribute to a dynamic multidisciplinary team environment to facilitate optimal patient outcomes

Requirements

• Current AHPRA registration
• Minimum of 12 months of experience in mental health nursing
• Contemporary knowledge of best practice in acute mental health nursing
• Strong communication skills with a supportive and engaging style to build rapport
• Thorough understanding of recovery-oriented care, mental state assessment, and care planning

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant postgraduate qualification in mental health or a related field
