Registered Nurse, Med/Surg Nights

Responsibilities

• Coordinate total nursing care for patients under the supervision of the Nurse Manager and Clinical Supervisor
• Participate in patient and family teaching to ensure informed care
• Provide leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel
• Maintain professional nursing practice standards in the clinical setting
• Identify and respond to significant changes in patient condition

Requirements

• Graduation from an approved school of professional nursing
• Current Arizona Registered Nurse License
• Current CPR Certification from the American Heart Association (Healthcare Provider)
• Ability to obtain ACLS Certification within one month of hire
• Ability to obtain PALS Certification within two months of hire
• Proficiency in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Physical ability to lift, carry, pull, and push 50 pounds
• Basic understanding of computer systems and data management

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience using Meditech or other related electronic medical record systems
