Registered Nurse Med Surg

Responsibilities

• Deliver medical and nursing care to patients within the Med/Surg unit using established protocols and the nursing process
• Assess patient history, physiological, and psychosocial status to formulate individualized care plans
• Administer medications safely and manage IV access for all patients
• Provide patient and family education throughout the continuum of care
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop safe and realistic discharge plans
• Monitor and manage patient conditions, including chest/abdominal pain, fluid overload, and dysrhythmias
• Adhere to infection prevention guidelines and Joint Commission national patient safety goals
• Maintain regulatory compliance and participate in professional development and peer review activities

Requirements

• College Diploma in Nursing
• Registered Nurse License
• BCLS or ACLS Certification
• 1 year of RN experience
