Registered Nurse

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care, including the intravenous administration of biologics and specialty pharmaceuticals in an ambulatory setting
• Assess patient health status through pre-screening processes, considering contraindications and clinical data
• Perform peripheral IV insertions and establish access via central lines using sterile techniques
• Handle and reconstitute biologic and oncology medications according to manufacturer and Health Canada guidelines
• Educate and counsel patients to promote independence and understanding of their medical conditions and medications
• Document patient care services and manage medical records in compliance with company policies
• Monitor medical therapies and perform post-administration observations and assessments
• Maintain quality, safety, and infection control standards to ensure safe nursing practices
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care

Requirements

• Nursing degree (minimum 2 years of study)
• At least 2 years of experience in intensive care or critical care (e.g., ER, ICU)
• Infusion certification or equivalent experience
• Valid OIIQ license
• Valid CPR certification
• Bilingual proficiency in French and English (spoken and written)
• Ability to work in a computerized environment (MS Office, electronic patient records)

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
• Professional designation in intensive care
• ACLS certification
