Registered Nurse

Responsibilities

• Ensure individual service plans are followed and administer or supervise physician-prescribed treatments
• Perform meaningful rounds to residents and record physician visits on charts
• Administer intramuscular and sub-cutaneous injections and perform in-house testing
• Document acute episodes or significant changes in resident status
• Handle preparation, administration, and ordering of prescribed medications
• Complete admission assessments and discharge documentation
• Supervise residents self-administering medication
• Provide assistance with activities of daily living including bathing, grooming, and dressing
• Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to community policies

Requirements

• Active RN license
• Knowledge of general nursing theory, drugs, and medical sciences
• Working knowledge of infection control, universal precautions, and OSHA standards
• Familiarity with medical diagnoses, procedures, and medication side effects
• Ability to lift at least 51 lbs regularly
• Proficiency in operating computer-related tasks and software
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
