About the role
Responsibilities
- Ensure individual service plans are followed and administer or supervise prescribed treatments
- Perform rounds to residents and record visits on charts
- Administer intramuscular and sub-cutaneous injections and perform in-house testing
- Take and record vital signs and document acute episodes or changes in resident status
- Handle preparation, administration, and ordering of prescribed medications
- Chart shifts in accordance with facility policy and state guidelines
- Supervise prescribed diets, fluid intake, and residents self-administering medication
- Prepare incident reports and complete admission/discharge documentation
- Provide assistance with activities of daily living including bathing, grooming, and dressing
Requirements
- Valid RN license
- Ability to lift at least 51 lbs regularly
- Ability to assist residents requiring physical assistance
- Fluency in English (reading, writing, speaking, and understanding)
- Experience with memory impairment care preferred for specific assignments
