Registered Nurse

Responsibilities

• Ensure that the individual service plan is followed and administer or supervise prescribed treatments
• Make meaningful rounds to residents and record visits on charts
• Administer intramuscular and sub-cutaneous injections and perform in-house testing
• Take and record vital signs and document acute episodes or changes in resident status
• Handle the preparation, administration, and ordering of prescribed medications
• Chart in accordance with facility policy, state guidelines, and resident status
• Supervise serving of prescribed diets and fluid intake
• Prepare incident reports and complete admission/discharge documentation
• Supervise residents who self-administer medication
• Provide assistance with medication reminders, bathing, grooming, and other activities of daily living

Requirements

• Valid RN license
• Ability to lift at least 51 lbs regularly
• Ability to assist residents requiring physical assistance
• Fluency in English (reading, writing, speaking, and understanding)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience caring for residents with memory impairment
