Registered Nurse IPU Pool

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality skilled care and case management for patients with acute needs in the Inpatient Care Unit (IPU) during night shifts.
• Perform ongoing assessments of physical, psychological, social, and spiritual needs for patients and their families.
• Create, implement, and update nursing care plans daily.
• Supervise and provide guidance to LPNs, CNAs, and other assigned staff on the unit.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary group (IDG), team physicians, and psychosocial teams to coordinate care and discharge planning.
• Act as a resource and mentor for co-workers and assist in the orientation of new staff members.
• Maintain professional standards of nursing practice and ensure all required documentation is completed before the end of the shift.

Requirements

• Current Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Valid Florida driver's license and proof of automobile insurance.
• Reliable transportation to perform job responsibilities in a timely manner.
• Strong critical thinking, time management, and analytical skills.
• Ability to maintain a professional demeanor and high ethical standards.

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of one (1) year of nursing experience in an acute care setting.
