Registered Nurse

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site nursing services including medical screening, health assessments, and medication administration
• Perform initial medical screenings including tuberculosis and pregnancy testing within 12 hours of arrival
• Triage and document patient requests for healthcare through electronic health records
• Administer oral, topical, intramuscular, and subcutaneous medications
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide initial stabilization
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient documentation in Electronic Health Records
• Deliver culturally competent and trauma-informed care

Requirements

• Unrestricted and current Registered Nurse license in Maryland
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Graduate from an accredited associate, baccalaureate, or graduate nursing program
• Ability to pass a medical examination and thorough background investigation
• U.S. citizenship and five-year U.S. residency

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Correctional Health Professional (CCHP) or similar credential
• Experience in a detention or correctional healthcare setting
• Proficiency in Spanish
