Registered Nurse Hospice

Responsibilities

• Provide quality hospice care, assessment, and case management to patients in private residences, assisted living facilities, and skilled nursing homes.
• Perform ongoing assessments of physical, psychological, social, and spiritual needs for patients and their families.
• Create and implement nursing care plans, ensuring they are reviewed and updated daily.
• Supervise and provide guidance to LPNs, CNAs, and other assigned field staff.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary group (IDG) and team physicians to coordinate patient care.
• Educate patients, families, and the community regarding hospice care philosophy and concepts.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation within Electronic Medical Records.

Requirements

• Current Florida RN license.
• Valid Florida driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Proof of automobile insurance.
• CPR certification.
• Proficiency in Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
• Strong critical thinking, time management, and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of nursing experience in a hospital, home health, or hospice setting.
