Registered Nurse Hospice

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality hospice care to patients in private residences, assisted living facilities, and skilled nursing homes
• Case manage the needs of patients and families, performing ongoing assessments of physical, psychological, social, and spiritual needs
• Create and implement nursing care plans that are reviewed and updated daily
• Supervise and provide guidance to LPNs, CNAs, and other assigned field staff
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary group (IDG) and team physicians to coordinate patient care
• Educate the community and families regarding hospice care philosophy and concepts
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Electronic Medical Records

Requirements

• Current Florida RN license
• Valid Florida driver's license and reliable transportation
• CPR certification
• Proficiency in Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
• Ability to maintain professional standards and ethical conduct in a field setting

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of nursing experience in a hospital, home health, or hospice setting
• Strong critical thinking, time management, and analytical skills
