Registered Nurse

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, person-centred clinical care and health assessments to individuals within the onshore Immigration Detention network
• Conduct comprehensive assessments, planning, implementing, and evaluating care to improve health outcomes
• Perform clinical duties including immunisations, blood collection, wound care, and medication administration
• Deliver care that honours the dignity, culture, values, beliefs, and rights of detainees
• Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team to meet evolving patient needs

Requirements

• AHPRA Registered Nurse (General unrestricted registration)
• At least 5 years of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse
• Proven experience in hands-on patient care within an operational setting (non-telehealth)
• Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks in a changing environment
