Registered Nurse

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient-centered care within a haemodialysis clinical setting in accordance with AHPRA standards.
• Participate in the design, planning, delivery, and evaluation of patient care.
• Protect patient rights by adhering to Privacy Principles and maintaining high standards of care.
• Support the management team through participation in clinical, educational, and quality activities.
• Maintain accurate patient information in medical records and the Therapy Data Management System (TDMS).
• Promote a safe and healthy working environment for staff, patients, and visitors.
• Actively participate in quality improvement processes by reporting incidents, hazards, and opportunities for improvement.
• Provide education to colleagues, patients, and visitors.

Requirements

• Current registration as a general nurse with AHPRA.
• Valid current practising certificate.
• Demonstrated clinical competence or working towards expertise in nephrology nursing.
• Understanding of quality improvement processes and risk management obligations.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working within a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to be self-directed and perform staff and patient education.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of nephrology nursing theory and practice.
• Proficiency in computer literacy.
• Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement initiatives.
