Registered Nurse

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care pre, during, and post-procedure in a surgery center setting
• Monitor patient condition during moderate sedation and contrast media injections to identify complications
• Administer medications and IV moderate sedation in compliance with physician orders and regulations
• Perform IV insertion and act as a scrub technologist to assist physicians during procedures
• Maintain a sterile technique and ensure a clean, safe, and sanitary environment
• Obtain medical histories, perform nursing assessments, and provide patient/family education regarding post-procedure care
• Complete accurate medical documentation from admission to discharge
• Operate and inspect facility equipment including patient monitors, defibrillators, and sterilizers
• Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities and regulatory compliance audits

Requirements

• High School Diploma required (Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred)
• Current RN License
• ACLS certification
• BLS certification
• Proficiency in IV insertion
• Proficiency in cardiac rhythm recognition
• Ability to assist with moving patients and equipment up to 200 lbs with assistance

Preferred Qualifications

• 4-6 years of related nursing experience
• Experience in an Ambulatory Surgical Center (ASC), Cardiac Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology, or ICU/CCU
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and medical database software
