Registered Nurse

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and effective training and oversight of home dialysis therapies to patients and their families
• Assess patient readiness and home environments for suitability in home dialysis programs
• Educate patients regarding End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD), renal dialysis, and vascular access
• Monitor patient response to home dialysis treatments and communicate issues to physicians
• Manage medical documentation, including physician orders, lab results, and treatment parameters
• Maintain competency in operating and troubleshooting home dialysis therapy equipment
• Coordinate the collection, packaging, and delivery of laboratory specimens

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Current state RN licensure
• Valid CPR certification
• ICD-9 coding training

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of medical-surgical nursing experience
• ICU nursing experience
• Minimum of one year of dialysis experience, specifically peritoneal dialysis
