Registered Nurse

Responsibilities

• Perform a full range of nursing services including assessment, care planning, and administering treatment
• Conduct initial intake assessments and discharge reconciliation/education
• Place, receive, and complete provider orders
• Administer medications via multiple routes
• Perform phlebotomy, specimen processing, and point of care testing
• Manage nasogastric tubes and enteral feeding
• Maintain intravenous access and administer IV fluids
• Perform wound care
• Document all direct patient care and observations in the electronic medical record
• Supervise and delegate care to LPNs and Behavioral Health Technicians
• Coordinate care with the interdisciplinary treatment team
• Participate in treatment team meetings and training/mentoring of new teammates
• Respond to emergency situations

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse License in the state of position
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to remain calm in stressful situations
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality
• Must be at least 21 years of age (or 18+ under direct supervision of a 21+ teammate)

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience working with patients in the mental health field
