Registered Nurse

Responsibilities

• Rotate across key areas of the Day Surgery unit, including Admissions, Holding Bay, and Second Stage Recovery
• Ensure patient and staff safety throughout the surgical and recovery journey
• Provide individualized, patient-centered care with a focus on family involvement
• Demonstrate advanced decision-making and interpersonal communication skills within a multidisciplinary team
• Manage admissions and discharges in an acute surgical environment

Requirements

• Current AHPRA registration
• Demonstrated clinical skill in a similar hospital setting
• Experience in admissions and discharges in an acute surgical area
• Ability to work a rotating roster of AM and PM shifts (no night duty required)
• Ability to work cohesively within a fast-paced, dynamic team environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Cardiac nursing experience
• Paediatric nursing experience
