Registered Nurse - Emergency

Responsibilities

• Assess the needs of and provide treatment to adult and paediatric patients in the Emergency Department
• Function interdependently with members of a multidisciplinary team
• Provide care within a 54-bed unit including RAZ and Fast Track units

Requirements

• Current Registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Current Heart & Stroke Approved BLS Provider Card
• Previous Emergency Department experience
• Experience in triage and in-charge responsibilities
• ACLS certificate required at time of hire and ongoing
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position

Preferred Qualifications

• Canadian Emergency Nursing Certification
• Post-diploma Emergency courses (TNCC, ENPC, PALS)
• Basic ECG interpretation and 12 lead ECG application
