Registered Nurse Emergency Department

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily patient flow to optimize care, safety, and satisfaction
• Triage incoming patient requests for services
• Deliver patient education to facilitate care plans and promote wellness
• Delegate care appropriately according to Colorado statutes
• Administer medications, perform treatments, and assist in procedures
• Coordinate patient care to achieve high levels of satisfaction
• Handle high telephone volume of patient requests
• Work independently with minimal supervision
• Advocate for safety and patient preferences using Relationship-Based Care
• Maintain HIPAA compliance

Requirements

• One year of critical care or emergency experience
• Registered Nurse license in Colorado or a valid compact state
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) certification
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC)
• Minimum of an Associate Nursing Degree
