Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care in accordance with the Illinois Professional Registered Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies
• Employ critical thinking to assess patient conditions, recognize changes, and plan/evaluate care
• Monitor patient progress and record pertinent observations
• Delegate appropriate patient care tasks to other staff members
• Function as a collaborative team member to fulfill unit goals

Requirements

• Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
• 1+ years of RN experience in an Emergency Department
• Current Illinois Registered Nurse licensure
• Current CPR Certification (AHA or American Red Cross)
• Ability to obtain ACLS certification within 3 months of hire
• Ability to obtain PALS certification within 3 months of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Nursing
