Registered Nurse

Responsibilities

• Delivers quality general/psychiatric nursing care to patients hospitalized for psychiatric or emotional disorders
• Assesses and re-assesses patients by collecting and analyzing physical, psychological, and environmental data
• Performs suicide assessments and implements suicide precautions
• Develops and revises individualized care plans based on patient needs and conditions
• Maintains accurate and litigable documentation meeting current standards
• Rounds on patients to ensure safety and an optimized environment
• Manages medications to ensure patient care and reduce medical errors

Requirements

• Current Nevada State RN License
• ADN, BSN, or equivalent degree
• Minimum one year of behavioral healthcare experience
• Strong clinical and interpersonal skills
• Ability to stabilize acute psychotic and non-violent crises using accepted intervention techniques
• Sensitivity to diverse social, cultural, and economic backgrounds
