About the role

Responsibilities

  • Perform duties within the scope of practice as a Registered Nurse under the direct supervision of a CRNA during the internship period
  • Collaborate with CRNAs and Anesthesiologists to prepare preoperative assessments, including health histories and physical examinations
  • Assist in developing Anesthesia Care Plans and contributing to perioperative anesthesia care
  • Monitor and maintain appropriate patient records and quality assurance documentation
  • Conduct postoperative evaluations in accordance with department policies
  • Transition into a graduate CRNA role upon successful completion of certification, credentialing, and privileging

Requirements

  • Expected graduation from an accredited nurse anesthesia program (Masters degree or DNP) within 6 months of interview
  • Two years of pediatric ICU nursing experience
  • Current ACLS or PALS certification
  • Ability to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) due to radiation exposure
  • Ability to fulfill required weekday, weekend, and holiday obligations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Five years of pediatric ICU nursing experience
  • Completion of a pediatric nurse anesthesia fellowship
  • Expected graduation with a Doctoral degree
