Registered Nurse

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for day surgery, pre-op, and post-op patients.
• Gather patient data through history taking and physical assessments to develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and provide direct patient care in a safe, therapeutic environment.
• Document patient progress and care provided accurately in accordance with organizational standards.
• Educate patients and their families regarding care plans and post-discharge management.
• Lead the healthcare team and serve as a resource person or preceptor for new employees.
• Supervise Licensed Nursing Assistants and other unlicensed personnel in delegated activities.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current New Hampshire Board of Nursing RN license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• One year of prior clinical nursing experience.
• Ability to work 9-hour rotating shifts (starting as early as 5:30 am and ending as late as 7:00 pm) and provide on-call coverage.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• PEARS/PALS certification (must be obtained within 6 months of hire).
• ACLS certification (must be obtained within 6 months of hire).
