Registered Nurse - Chemotherapy in the Home

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe administration of antineoplastic therapies in a home-based setting
• Conduct advanced clinical assessments and identify patient deterioration
• Work autonomously while maintaining strong communication with the multidisciplinary team
• Provide patient education, monitoring, and comprehensive follow-up care
• Maintain high standards of clinical documentation, safety, and escalation protocols

Requirements

• Current AHPRA nursing registration
• Full Australian Driver’s Licence and ability to pass a driving assessment
• Minimum 3 years of experience in CITH, Day Oncology, Oncology, or Haematology
• Completed Anti-Cancer Drug Administration Course (ADAC) or equivalent
• IV cannulation certification and venepuncture experience
• Proficiency in PICC and CVAD management

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Hospital in the Home (HITH) or medical/surgical nursing
• Skills in complex wound care, drains, or stoma care
• Experience with TPN, enteral nutrition, or negative pressure therapy
• Relevant postgraduate qualification
