Their mission is to empower individuals and families to recover from addiction, trauma, mental illness, and other chronic medical conditions through comprehensive, integrated care.
Responsibilities
- Complete Nursing Assessments, COWS, and CIWA Assessments upon admission
- Perform medical clearance exams at time of intake
- Manage medication monitoring, counts, and documentation for control and non-control substances
- Work with the medical director for medication reconciliation and implement doctor's orders
- Conduct emergency and non-emergency triage and physical/mental health rounds
- Maintain up-to-date electronic health records, including progress notes and assessments
- Educate clients on medical diagnoses, needs, and medication usage
- Collaborate with the clinical team, counselors, and community providers to ensure proper medication management
- Fulfill responsibilities regarding Duty to Warn and Mandated Reporting
Requirements
- Massachusetts Licensed Registered Nurse
- 2 years of nursing experience
- 1 year of medication monitoring experience
- 2 years of experience with EHR systems
- Spanish bilingual skills
- Knowledge of American Society of Addiction Medicine best practices
- Knowledge of medication-assisted treatment for substance use disorders
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Substance Use Disorder and co-occurring conditions
