Responsibilities

• Complete Nursing Assessments, COWS, and CIWA Assessments upon admission
• Perform medical clearance exams at time of intake
• Manage medication monitoring, counts, and documentation for control and non-control substances
• Work with the medical director for medication reconciliation and implement doctor's orders
• Conduct emergency and non-emergency triage and physical/mental health rounds
• Maintain up-to-date electronic health records, including progress notes and assessments
• Educate clients on medical diagnoses, needs, and medication usage
• Collaborate with the clinical team, counselors, and community providers to ensure proper medication management
• Fulfill responsibilities regarding Duty to Warn and Mandated Reporting

Requirements

• Massachusetts Licensed Registered Nurse
• 2 years of nursing experience
• 1 year of medication monitoring experience
• 2 years of experience with EHR systems
• Spanish bilingual skills
• Knowledge of American Society of Addiction Medicine best practices
• Knowledge of medication-assisted treatment for substance use disorders

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Substance Use Disorder and co-occurring conditions
