Registered Nurse - Cardiac Neuro ICU

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care in accordance with the Illinois Professional Registered Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies
• Employ critical thinking skills to assess patient conditions and recognize clinical changes
• Plan, evaluate, and monitor patient progress while recording pertinent observations
• Delegate appropriate patient care tasks to other staff members
• Function as a collaborative team member to fulfill unit goals

Requirements

• Associate Degree in Nursing or higher (if Associate degree is the highest degree held, must obtain a BSN within five years)
• 2 years of RN critical care experience
• Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure
• Current CPR Certification issued by the American Heart Association (BLS)
• Ability to obtain Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within six months of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Nursing
