Registered Nurse Blood Bank

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care using the nursing process to a specific patient population within the Blood Bank
• Interpret and execute medical and nursing plans of treatment following established protocols
• Assess patient history, physiological status, and psychosocial status
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and medical staff throughout the continuum of care
• Adhere to infection prevention guidelines and patient safety standards
• Maintain regulatory compliance and follow organizational quality and benchmarking goals
• Utilize critical thinking to formulate and carry out individualized care plans
• Ensure safe administration of medications and utilize safe patient handling techniques

Requirements

• College Diploma in Nursing
• Registered Nurse License
• BCLS or ACLS Certification
• 2 years of nursing experience
