About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage the successful operation of the Resident Care Department under the leadership of the Resident Care Director
- Provide direct oversight, coaching, and supervision to all resident care service providers
- Provide on-floor nursing support to residents and interact with family members
- Ensure compliance with all resident care regulations, including medication management
- Maintain accurate documentation and record-keeping
- Demonstrate and enforce personal and resident safety methods and procedures
- Conduct internal and external assessments and remain available for on-call duties as needed
Requirements
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license per state regulations
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in Assisted Living, Home Care, or Hospice as an RN
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an RN in a care setting
- Ability to lift 50 pounds individually
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to be on call as identified by the community
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
- Certification in Gerontology through the American Nurses Credentialing Association
- Knowledge of Dementia care
