About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide intake, assessment, and clinical services for HIV, HCV, STBBI, PrEP, PEP, and EHR services
  • Deliver preventive clinical services, communicable disease investigation, and STI education
  • Support clients with high levels of poly-substance use and complex health needs using a harm reduction approach
  • Provide outreach services and distribute harm reduction supplies to vulnerable communities
  • Assist clients with medical and disability documentation (PWD, ICBC, etc.)
  • Administer vaccines and perform phlebotomy, specimen collection, and point-of-care testing
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and maintain individualized care plans
  • Participate in multidisciplinary case coordination and community relationship building

Requirements

  • RN designation with current registration with the BCCNM
  • Certification in reproductive health with BCCNM
  • Minimum 3 years of nursing experience with polysubstance use, mental health, and HIV/AIDS/STBBI testing
  • Experience with phlebotomy, vaccine management, and medical emergency response (e.g., Naloxone administration)
  • Valid BC Driver's license and access to a personal vehicle for local travel
  • Valid and current CPR/BLS for Healthcare Providers certification
  • Transportation of Dangerous Goods certification

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous reproductive health work experience
  • Experience working with trans, queer, and GBMSM identified communities
  • Experience working with structurally vulnerable populations
