Registered Nurse – AOD

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred, high-quality, and safe care to individuals in detention with alcohol and other drug-related needs
• Conduct comprehensive AOD assessments and develop/implement individualized care plans
• Deliver brief interventions and support withdrawal management
• Monitor patient progress and provide psychoeducation
• Deliver evidence-based care within a trauma-informed environment, including harm reduction and medication administration

Requirements

• AHPRA Registered Nurse with unrestricted general registration
• Minimum of five (5) years of clinical experience
• Direct patient care experience in Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD), mental health, or a related operational setting (non-Telehealth)
• Strong clinical judgment and the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
