About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide person-centred, high-quality, and safe care to individuals in detention with alcohol and other drug-related needs
- Conduct comprehensive AOD assessments and develop/implement individualized care plans
- Deliver brief interventions and support withdrawal management
- Monitor patient progress and provide psychoeducation
- Deliver evidence-based care within a trauma-informed environment, including harm reduction and medication administration
Requirements
- AHPRA Registered Nurse with unrestricted general registration
- Minimum of five (5) years of clinical experience
- Direct patient care experience in Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD), mental health, or a related operational setting (non-Telehealth)
- Strong clinical judgment and the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
