Registered Nurse – AOD

Responsibilities

• Deliver holistic, person-centred, and safe care to individuals in detention with alcohol and other drug-related needs
• Conduct comprehensive AOD assessments and develop/implement individualized care plans
• Deliver brief interventions and support withdrawal management
• Monitor patient progress and provide medication administration
• Provide harm reduction, health promotion, and psychoeducation within a trauma-informed environment
• Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team

Requirements

• AHPRA-registered Nurse (General, unrestricted registration)
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Registered Nurse in AOD (non-telehealth) plus a post-graduate qualification in mental health
• OR a minimum of seven (7) years of experience as an AOD Registered Nurse without a post-graduate qualification
