About the role
Responsibilities
- Deliver holistic, person-centred AOD care within a multidisciplinary team for individuals in detention
- Conduct comprehensive AOD assessments and develop/implement individualized care plans
- Support withdrawal management and monitor patient progress
- Deliver brief interventions, harm reduction, and psychoeducation
- Provide evidence-based care in a trauma-informed environment, including medication administration and health promotion
Requirements
- AHPRA-registered Nurse (General, unrestricted registration)
- Minimum of five (5) years of AOD experience (non-telehealth) plus a post-graduate qualification in mental health
- OR a minimum of seven (7) years of AOD experience as a Registered Nurse without a post-graduate qualification
