Registered Nurse

Responsibilities

• Administer chemotherapy, hydration, and other medications under physician supervision
• Assist physicians with exams and procedures while maintaining efficient patient flow
• Monitor and assess changes in patient conditions, including abnormal labs and drug reactions
• Perform venipuncture, access implanted ports, and maintain central line catheter devices
• Program portable infusion pumps and provide patient/caregiver instruction for home use
• Document nursing assessments, patient teaching, and medication administration in patient charts
• Triage patient phone calls and communicate pertinent information to physicians
• Act as a resource person for medical assistants

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited professional nursing education program (BSN preferred)
• Minimum of one year of nursing experience, preferably in oncology
• Current RN state license and registration with the State Board of Nursing
• Chemotherapy experience is highly preferred
• Proof of full COVID-19 vaccination required prior to hire (unless exempted)
