Registered Midwife

Responsibilities

• Provide expert midwifery care to postnatal mothers and newborns, including advice on feeding, baby care, and maternal recovery
• Monitor and assess the health and wellbeing of both mother and baby, addressing concerns promptly
• Ensure a seamless, patient-centered experience through collaboration with other healthcare professionals
• Role-model empathy, compassion, and professionalism in all interactions with patients and families
• Participate in ongoing education to stay current with best practices in maternity care

Requirements

• Current AHPRA Registration as a dual registered Nurse/Midwife
• Previous experience in a Birth Suite and/or Postnatal ward
• Strong understanding of contemporary maternity and newborn care practices
• Passion for providing exceptional, empathetic care to women and their families
