About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide expert midwifery care to postnatal mothers and newborns, including advice on feeding, baby care, and maternal recovery
- Monitor and assess the health and wellbeing of both mother and baby, addressing concerns promptly
- Ensure a seamless, patient-centered experience through collaboration with other healthcare professionals
- Role-model empathy, compassion, and professionalism in all interactions with patients and families
- Participate in ongoing education to stay current with best practices in maternity care
Requirements
- Current AHPRA Registration as a dual registered Nurse/Midwife
- Previous experience in a Birth Suite and/or Postnatal ward
- Strong understanding of contemporary maternity and newborn care practices
- Passion for providing exceptional, empathetic care to women and their families
