Registered Massage Therapist

Responsibilities

• Provide rehabilitation and treatment plans for injured workers to support return-to-work goals
• Conduct clinical assessments to gauge soft tissue condition, joint function, range of motion, and muscle strength
• Develop and implement specific treatment interventions based on client assessments
• Consult with an interdisciplinary team of health care professionals to coordinate client care
• Provide ongoing evaluation of client progress and collect outcome measurement information
• Educate clients on posture improvement, strengthening, stretching, and relaxation techniques
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and communicate with relevant stakeholders

Requirements

• Recognized Massage Therapy Degree or Diploma
• Current registration with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO)
• Valid malpractice insurance
• Ability to work as an independent contractor at the Scarborough site

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience working in an interdisciplinary practice setting
