Registered Massage Therapist

Responsibilities

• Set goals and provide treatment plans for clients based on clinical assessment
• Gauge soft tissue condition, joint function, range of motion, and muscle strength
• Consult with interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to develop integrated treatment plans
• Provide ongoing evaluation of client progress and collect outcome measurement information
• Educate clients on posture, strengthening, stretching, rehabilitative exercises, and relaxation techniques
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and communicate with referral sources
• Comply with the Occupational Health & Safety Act and report hazards or deficiencies

Requirements

• Recognized Massage Therapy Degree or Diploma
• Registration with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario
• Proof of valid malpractice insurance

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year working in an interdisciplinary practice
