Registered Manager

Responsibilities

• Provide strong leadership and management to a diverse residential care team
• Promote and support the healthy development of children and young people
• Protect young people from risks to their health, welfare, and development
• Offer support to young people experiencing crises or stress
• Encourage young people to take responsibility for their lives and independence
• Ensure smooth transitions for children, including admissions and discharges
• Implement consistent practices aligned with home policies and procedures
• Ensure compliance with the Children’s Act, Children’s Home Regulations, and Ofsted recommendations
• Deploy staff effectively to meet operational needs
• Chair meetings and perform on-call duties
• Lead the Ofsted inspection process
• Maintain weekly and monthly checks for Reg 45 audits

Requirements

• Relevant professional qualifications, ideally Level 5 Leadership & Management
• Manual driving licence
• Enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one
• Minimum of 1 year experience as a Registered Manager preferred
• Proven track record of achieving ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted ratings
