Registered Histotechnician

Responsibilities

• Process tissue sections with consistent accuracy and efficiency
• Perform quality control monitoring, slide printing, and cassette printing
• Execute grossing tasks, spawning, trimming, and embedding tissue
• Perform routine H&E staining and glass/film coverslipping
• Conduct TMA creation both manually and via automated methods
• Utilize microtomy for various thickness requirements
• Manage IHC platforms including Dako Autostainer, Dako Omnis, Leica BOND III, and Ventana BenchMark ULTRA
• Perform digital slide scanning and image quality control
• Maintain equipment and comply with OSHA, CLIA, CAP, and HIPAA regulations

Requirements

• BA/BS degree with 0-2+ years of related experience
• ASCP certification as a Histologist (HT) or Histotechnologist (HTL), or eligibility to obtain within 6 months
• Strong microtomy and IHC experience
• Visual acuity and manual dexterity
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
• Fluency in English

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree or graduate of a certified Histology program
