About the role
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, person-centered Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) for patients with chronic and complex conditions
- Complete comprehensive virtual assessments and develop individualized nutrition care plans
- Write nutrition prescriptions tailored to clinical diagnoses and promote sustainable behavior change
- Document all patient interactions in the electronic health record (EHR) clearly and promptly
- Collaborate with care teams, including physicians and health coaches, to support coordinated patient care
- Participate in content development for education, engagement, and outreach
- Engage in continuous quality improvement and innovation of care delivery
- Apply current nutrition research and evidence-based practices in patient care
- Maintain required professional credentials, licensing, and ongoing education
Requirements
- Current Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credentialed by the Commission on Dietetic Registration
- Licensed in the state of Massachusetts
- Master’s Degree in Nutrition or a related field preferred (or Bachelor's Degree with RD/RDN status achieved prior to Jan 1, 2024)
- Excellent communication skills and commitment to patient-centered care
- Comfort using digital tools and platforms for virtual care delivery
- Ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations
Preferred Qualifications
- Credentialed with major health plans
- Actively licensed in states other than Massachusetts
- Experience in behavior change counseling, group education, or culinary nutrition
- Experience contributing to program design, content development, or digital tools
- Fluency in Spanish
