About the role

Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop, and implement specialized research diets and controlled feeding protocols based on study requirements.
  • Assist with metabolic kitchen operations, including meal preparation coordination, portion accuracy, and food labeling.
  • Educate research participants on study diets, meal compliance, and protocol requirements to ensure study integrity.
  • Collaborate with principal investigators, study coordinators, and research staff to support study start-up and ongoing operations.
  • Monitor participant dietary compliance and document deviations, adverse events, and nutrition data in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate research records, nutrient databases, food production logs, and study-related data entry.
  • Ensure compliance with institutional policies, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), and food safety standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, Clinical Nutrition, or a related field.
  • Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist in the State of Louisiana (or ability to obtain licensure prior to hire).
  • One year of experience in clinical nutrition, metabolic nutrition, research nutrition, or clinical trials.
  • Strong knowledge of medical nutrition therapy, nutrition assessment methods, and therapeutic diet principles.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills for working with interdisciplinary teams and research participants.
