Registered Dietitian II

Responsibilities

• Assess nutrition status and establish nutrition diagnoses for adult inpatients
• Develop intervention strategies and monitor/evaluate nutrition care plans
• Educate patients, caregivers, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams on therapeutic diets and nutrition support
• Perform duties in compliance with regulatory, accrediting, and licensing agency requirements
• Support all adult inpatient areas within the hospital system

Requirements

• MS or BS in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a relevant major
• Completion of an accredited dietetic internship
• 3 or more years of clinical experience
• Registered Dietitian (RD) credential by the Commission on Dietetic Registration
• Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist (LDN) in the state of Illinois
• Proficiency in Epic, Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Board specialty certification (e.g., CNSC, CSP, CSO, or CSR) or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Membership in the American Dietetic Association and relevant practice groups
