Registered Dietitian

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional services and education for in-center and home dialysis patients to maximize nutritional status and improve clinical outcomes.
• Conduct nutritional assessments and participate in interdisciplinary comprehensive assessments.
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care in accordance with Federal and state licensure guidelines.
• Calculate diet prescriptions and monitor patient adherence to nutrition therapy.
• Identify malnourished patients and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to implement interventions.
• Review nutrition-related lab results and communicate findings and recommended treatment changes to physicians and facility staff.
• Maintain accurate and complete medical record documentation according to company policies and regulations.
• Participate in Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement (QAI) activities and staff meetings.

Requirements

• Registered Dietitian credential from the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
• Current state licensure, if applicable.
• Minimum of 1 year of professional work experience in clinical nutrition as a Registered Dietitian.
• Basic computer skills.
• Strong communication, organizational, and relationship development skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Board Certified Specialist in Renal Nutrition (CSRN).
• Previous experience in renal nutrition.
