Registered Dietitian

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional services and education for in-center and home dialysis patients to maximize nutritional status and improve clinical outcomes
• Conduct nutritional assessments and participate in interdisciplinary comprehensive assessments
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care in accordance with Federal and state licensure guidelines
• Calculate diet prescriptions and monitor adherence to nutrition therapy
• Identify malnourished patients and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team on appropriate interventions
• Maintain accurate medical records and progress notes according to established guidelines and regulations
• Counsel patients and caregivers regarding nutritional status, lab parameters, and disease management
• Collaborate with the healthcare team on mineral metabolism, anemia, and sodium/volume control

Requirements

• Registered Dietitian credential as per the Commission on Dietetic Registration
• Minimum of 1 year of professional work experience in clinical nutrition
• Current state licensure (if applicable)
• Basic computer skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Board Certified Specialist in Renal Nutrition
• Previous experience in renal nutrition
