Registered Dietitian

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional services and education for in-center and home dialysis patients to maximize nutritional status and improve clinical outcomes
• Conduct nutritional assessments and participate in interdisciplinary comprehensive assessments
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care in accordance with Federal and state licensure guidelines
• Calculate diet prescriptions and monitor adherence to nutrition therapy
• Identify malnourished patients and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to implement interventions
• Review nutrition-related lab results and communicate findings to patients, families, and physicians
• Maintain accurate and complete medical record documentation according to company and regulatory policies
• Participate in Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement (QAI) activities

Requirements

• Registered Dietitian (CDR) certification
• Current state licensure
• Minimum of 1 year of professional work experience in clinical nutrition
• Basic computer skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Board Certified Specialist in Renal Nutrition (CSRN)
• Previous experience in renal nutrition
