Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or Certified Ohio Dental Assistant

Responsibilities

• Support dental faculty and students in delivering high-quality patient care within an academic setting.
• Assist during clinical procedures across various specialties, including restorative, oral surgery, endodontics, periodontics, and prosthodontics.
• Capture and process diagnostic digital radiographs in compliance with state laws and institutional guidelines.
• Prepare and maintain operatory rooms, instruments, and materials in accordance with OSHA and CDC protocols.
• Ensure proper documentation and charting using electronic dental record (EDR) systems.
• Maintain inventory and ensure proper storage of dental supplies and materials.
• Support curriculum development by providing insight into practical radiographic skills and clinic logistics.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or Certified Ohio Dental Assistant.
• Valid Radiographic License (Ohio).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification.
• Minimum 2 years of dental assisting experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a multi-operatory, multi-provider clinic setting.
• Proficiency with dental software systems such as Axium, Dentrix, or Eaglesoft.
• Certification in IV Sedation.
