About the role
Responsibilities
- Support dental faculty and students in delivering high-quality patient care within an academic setting.
- Assist during clinical procedures across various specialties, including restorative, oral surgery, endodontics, periodontics, and prosthodontics.
- Capture and process diagnostic digital radiographs in compliance with state laws and institutional guidelines.
- Prepare and maintain operatory rooms, instruments, and materials in accordance with OSHA and CDC protocols.
- Ensure proper documentation and charting using electronic dental record (EDR) systems.
- Maintain inventory and ensure proper storage of dental supplies and materials.
- Support curriculum development by providing insight into practical radiographic skills and clinic logistics.
Requirements
- High school diploma.
- Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or Certified Ohio Dental Assistant.
- Valid Radiographic License (Ohio).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification.
- Minimum 2 years of dental assisting experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a multi-operatory, multi-provider clinic setting.
- Proficiency with dental software systems such as Axium, Dentrix, or Eaglesoft.
- Certification in IV Sedation.
