About the role
Responsibilities
- Greet and prepare patients for exams, complete digital charting, and verify codes
- Capture quality x-ray images and assist dentists with treatment procedures
- Set up, sterilize exam and treatment rooms, and maintain cross-contamination standards
- Discuss treatment options and guide patients through post-care instructions
- Provide teeth polishing and sealant placement with required certifications
- Support patient appointment scheduling and create positive patient environments
- Adhere to HIPAA guidelines and assist with patient dismissal
Requirements
- Texas Registered Dental Assistant license
- Digital x-ray and digital charting experience
- Sealant placement, nitrous monitoring, and coronal polishing certifications preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and demonstrate initiative
