About the role
Responsibilities
- Greet and prepare patients for exams, complete digital charting, and verify codes
- Capture quality x-ray images and assist dentists with treatment procedures
- Set up and sterilize exam and treatment rooms following cross-contamination standards
- Discuss treatment options and guide patients and parents through post-care instructions
- Provide teeth polishing and sealant placement with required certifications
- Schedule patient appointments and create positive, uplifting patient environments
- Adhere to HIPAA guidelines and assist with patient dismissal and prizes
Requirements
- Texas Registered Dental Assistant license
- Experience with digital x-ray and digital charting
- Sealant placement, nitrous monitoring, and coronal polishing certifications preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Self-starter with ability to work with minimal supervision
- Punctual, detail-oriented, and team-oriented mindset
