Registered Dental Assistant

Responsibilities

• Greet and prepare patients for exams, completing digital charting and verifying codes
• Capture quality x-ray images
• Assist dentist with a variety of treatment procedures
• Set up and sterilize exam and treatment rooms
• Discuss treatment options, importance, and follow-up recommended care
• Provide teeth polishing and sealant placement procedure
• Support patient treatment appointment scheduling
• Sterilize instruments and follow cross-contamination standards
• Guide parents and patients through post-care instructions
• Adhere to HIPAA guidelines

Requirements

• Texas Issued Registered Dental Assistant Licensing
• Experience with digital x-ray and digital charting
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Sealant Placement certification
• Nitrous Monitoring certification
• Coronal Polishing certification
