About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 behavior therapy to students diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ages 3–22) in one-on-one or small group settings
  • Implement behavior reduction and skill acquisition treatment plans developed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
  • Use Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) interventions to teach communication, functional living, and social skills while reducing problematic behaviors
  • Collect and report data on all programming and complete progress notes for every session
  • Communicate client progress to students, parents, and/or guardians
  • Collaborate with the behavior department to assist with initial assessments and preparation of student materials
  • Maintain Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification and adhere to all confidentiality and university policies

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least six months of experience in a related field
  • Ability to achieve Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification within 90 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, Special Education, or a related field
  • Current RBT certification or actively working towards certification through the BACB
  • Two or more years of experience working as an RBT
